Sofia is an incredible teacher. I attend her weekly Pilates and Barre classes, and they have been truly one of my favorite times of the week. The classes are engaging and challenging, but Sofia keeps a motivating space where you feel empowered to keep pushing yourself. She’s taught me a lot about movement and made me really put time and effort in to my body’s health. So happy I found her class and that she’s made me someone who is excited to do some of the most intense workouts I’ve ever done. I never thought I’d be someone who looked forward to working out after work on a Monday or first thing on Saturday mornings!

I want to start off by saying that I was intimated to try any Pilates class outside of doing at home workouts. As a bigger girl I didn’t feel like Pilates studios were a place for me. When MiFlow opened its doors in my neighborhood I started to follow their instagram and I saw bodies that looked like mine at Sofia’s Pilates classes and that’s when I decided to take the leap. I instantly felt like I belonged and so I began to attend regularly as soon as more classes were added. When the first session of beginner Pilates programs started I signed up to work on my form and I do feel that it helped me improve. Sofia offers a safe space we’re all are welcome and she offers great feedback on your form. No matter how full her classes are it always feels like it’s a one on one session.

I took my first yoga and mat pilates class with Sofia, and it was such a positive experience. From the moment class began, she created a space that felt safe and welcoming. She kept us motivated throughout and was incredibly encouraging, especially when some of the movements felt challenging at first. What stood out the most was how she took the time after class to personally connect and ask for feedback. It made me feel truly seen and supported. I left the class feeling relaxed, accomplished, and inspired to keep going. I'm grateful for the confidence boost and can’t wait for the next session!

Joining Pilates while pregnant is one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. At first, I was nervous because I had heard so many negative things about how catty fitness spaces could be—but my experience has been the opposite. The class taught by Sofia has been fun, supportive, & just what I need. Not only has Pilates kept me feeling strong during pregnancy, but it’s also helped me reconnect with my ‘pink.’ Each class reminds me that I’m capable, graceful, & worthy of taking up space. What started out as fear has turned into one of the highlights of my week, & I am so grateful I found this part of myself again through Pilates. I cannot wait to join full time.
